USS Medea NCC-74796

Welcome to the USS Medea!

The USS Medea is a scientific exploration vessel, setup for finding the strange and unusual in the Delta Quadrant. The crew, hand-picked for their expertise in their given fields, have the same curiosity as their commanding officer. The Medea is set to go into the areas that are unexplored, find the planets that have yet to be scanned, research the things that make the Delta Quadrant tick. Diplomacy is, of course, part of the equation when necessary.

» Next Mission is Happening

Hi all! Sorry things have slowed down to a crawl again. Work has completely smashed my creativity. We will try to get this going!

The shore leave mission will stay open still for a while, as long as people also keep up with the mission itself. I don't mind back-posts.

There should be at least one group post started soon, once your XO and I finish a post we need to get done.

We haven't forgotten about stuff, just work creativity smashes are evil!

Now I go back to this cat on my lap who is watching birds on one of my monitors...

» FYI Announcement

Posted on Sat Jan 1st, 2022 @ 1:56pm by Captain Christine Applegate in Sim Announcement

Good morning all, and Happy New Year!

This announcement came out on 22nd Fleet overnight.

I was Trek Department Head and an officer and believe me, it was discussed before being announced.

That being said: this will not impact Medea in any way. We will run independent of any fleet until a time we find one is necessary. And that time may never come.

As the title says: this is an FYI more than anything. Enjoy your holiday and 2022!

» New Year - New Mission

Posted on Sun Dec 26th, 2021 @ 1:06pm by Captain Christine Applegate in Sim Announcement

Happy Holidays my dear Medea crew.

First off: Welcome back to Lt Jg Jhena Mires to Engineering! I was contacted last night that they wished to return, and their character has been reactivated! (And I will remove their LOA after the near year, but they can still post). They are also re-activated on Discord under Engineering. Solana, you have an underling.

Second: I'd like to get us moving again. That means all of us keeping up with posting. I won't fully enforce the posting requirements, as even I can't keep up right now. But I want everyone to have a least 1 post out in January, even if it is a joint post.

Your XO and myself will work on getting the new mission going once he's done with his 18 or so straight days of work without a day off (all of these being 3am-11am shifts too).

Otherwise, that's all I've got!

» Rest of the year, 2021

Posted on Mon Sep 13th, 2021 @ 12:06pm by Captain Christine Applegate in Sim Announcement

Alrighty guys, after discussing with my command staff last night, we've decided that the rest of the year is going to be the shore leave mission. Why?

-We all have stuff going on.
-No high pressure mission for holiday season.

Also: although I'd LOVE for you all to keep on the tagging/posting requirements, I'm not going to pressure you all. Still please use the tags channel on Discord to remind of tags.

Bug us for posts! We loves to write!

The Chief of Security's quarters were in shambles.

Furniture had been knocked over. Bedding had been torn. The room would need the Quartermaster to supply a new mattress. Possibly a new bedframe.

Let it never be said that the Kzinti were not a people of passion.

Neither Baktosh nor Maylis…

Underwater science stations. Unknown species. Threats of death and banishment. Jenni did find the Delta Quadrant to be an exotic and adventurous space, especially since all she ever knew on the Federation/Romulan border was tension. As wild as today was, she was glad she was finally off duty. Operations was…
