Mission: Mission 5: Research Team - Missing in Action
Location: Captain's Quarters
Timeline: 2389 228 at 2000

As she was finally settling in for the night, Christine was glad for the fact that they were still on their way to the starbase. Her crew needed the break, as did she. Many were going to go home for shore leave while the ship underwent repairs. She'd approved every one of them.

All of her important jobs given by command so far were completed, including two different promotions. They now just had to get back.

+Bridge to Captain Applegate, you have an incoming communication from Starfleet Command.+

"Too good to be true," she whispered to herself as she sat up a bit on her couch. +Put it through to my quarters.+

Switching to her holographic display so she didn't have to get up, the image of an admiral appeared nearly like a viewscreen on her wall. "Admiral, wasn't expecting a call this late. I apologize I'm not in uniform."

Not an issue, Captain. I realize it is late. However, we are going to have to divert you from your trip back to the starbase. We received all the approvals for shore leave, and they will remain approved for when you all get here.

Half of the image changed to a research station sitting among some rocky terrain.

"I'm not sure I understand, Admiral. I remember hearing about that research station on Binides but..."

That research station? No one has heard from the team stationed there for over two weeks. And, Medea is the closest ship. I'm aware your crew is looking for the time away given all you've done since being commissioned but...

Christine put up a hand, "It is okay, sir. We knew there was a possibility of having to go do more things before we got back for the repairs and such. The ship can still handle it, the repairs can wait. Send the information, I'll get the course changed and alert the senior staff at briefing in the morning."

Thank you for understanding, Captain. Keep us up to date on what you find out. Command out.

The image changed back to the Starfleet logo, but the information downloaded. +Captain to bridge, change course for Binides, but no speed change.+

There was an obvious disappointment in the helm officer's voice, Understood, Captain. Course changed for Binides.

Sitting back on her couch again, Tine sighed. She'd been looking forward to the break. However, duty came first. She was just glad that all the shore leave approval she'd pushed through would still be good to go once they got back.
