Mission: Mission 5: Research Team - Missing in Action
Location: Sickbay USS Medea
Timeline: 2389 229 at 1555

Sickbay was a bit of a mess, and that was an understatement. Injured were crowding around, all of the biobeds were filled, and the other doctors and nurses were doing their best to keep up. They needed another set of hands.

To say that Satu had hustled double time from the shuttle to the sickbay was an understatement. She rushed through the doors, breathless and slightly red from the exertion. Her eyes scanned the room and landed on her assistant. "Casualty report?"

The assistant looked over, relieved to see their chief. "Don't think we'll have anyone killed in the attack, thank goodness. Many injuries, we're doing what we can but obviously as you can see we've got a line of people to treat."

"That's an understatement," Satu said as she dodged her way across the room. She dropped her medkit on the reception desk and took her tricorder from her belt. "Who's on triage?"

"At this point? Everyone. This was sudden and we're just all doing what we can. We've got the major injuries taken care of unless someone else comes in...we hope?"

"Hmmm... ok..." Satu looked around the room. "I want you, Lacey, and Cora to start triaging. Move the patients that can move to one side of the room, put minor injuries here," she indicated the area farthest from the door. "Moderate injuries in the middle, and severe injuries there," she indicated the last third of the room. "If anyone else comes in, triage straight away and put them in the appropriate area."

She then turned to the rest of her staff. "I want you two to start treating the minor injuries. Chelsea, T'Veth and Francie, start on the moderate injuries. Steven, Connor, Grace, and Mindy, you're with me on the severe injuries." Satu turned back to her assistant. "Once triaging is done, have one of your team stay on triaging, you and whoever isn't on triaging will then go treat minor injuries. Got it?"

Everyone around acknowledged what their chief had said and started back to work.

Satu nodded in satisfaction as everyone started getting to work. Pulling her tricorder from her belt, she set about scanning her first patient to determine what injuries they had and what treatments she would use to heal them. She and her team worked in perfect harmony, nurses and doctors alike, barely needing to talk to each other as they moved from task to task, stabilizing and treating patients.
